Periodically throughout each day, I find it is helpful to take a moment to reflect upon my recent behavior. Was I patient and kind even if I was tired or annoyed or triggered in some way?
Should I find that I responded poorly, rather than berating myself, I find it is much wiser to acknowledge where I may have failed to respond with kindness. From there I can choose to show myself some grace. I can do my best to make it through the rest of the day treating others just as I would want them to treat me. Just Until Tomorrow, I can act and think from a place of acceptance and love.
Then with time, I will become the person I strive to consistently be.
