In this piece, the viewer’s eye is being led intentionally into the painting by the pool of water, which runs parallel to the shore reflecting the bright orange of the western sky. This “pathway of light” guides us into the direction of the sun and then out to the sea.
In my mind’s eye, this path becomes the roadway of compassion, understanding, selflessness and love, which we may choose to walk as we move through our days.
With practice, it will lead us to living with the light of love as our constant guide. Like the pool streaming into the endless sea, we then become a part of the limitless light of love.
